Software Engineer

Boeing's Tapestry Solutions develops information technology and business intelligence solutions for defense, commercial, and government clients. The Associate Software Engineer will develop, maintain, test, integrate, and troubleshoot software for F-15 Mission Planning systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable aviation software solutions.

What you'll do:

• Develop, document, maintain, and unit test code utilizing programming languages such as C#, Javascript, and SQL within established software development environments
• Design and develop software components, ensuring seamless integration into fully functional systems aligned with project requirements
• Select, tailor, and deploy appropriate development processes and tools to optimize productivity and quality
• Perform troubleshooting and defect resolution to maintain software reliability and performance
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to propose effective solutions to technical challenges
• Work under general supervision, adhering to project timelines and quality standards
• Integrate and compile software components into builds, including testing limited component-level software in target environments
• Assist in documentation and reporting of development activities, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and team meetings to ensure best practices and project alignment

What they're looking for:

• The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, computer science, data science, or related disciplines
• Demonstrated knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies, along with at least one year of experience with Git and Object-Oriented Programming, is essential
• A strong foundation in software development principles, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills are also required to excel in this role
• Candidates with additional years of experience and advanced skills will be considered favorably
• Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, at least two years of full software development life-cycle experience, proficiency in Javascript, and familiarity with deployment processes and tools
• Candidates with a comprehensive understanding of software integration, troubleshooting, and testing in complex environments will be highly valued
