About this role
Supermicro provides advanced server, storage, and networking solutions for data center, cloud computing, enterprise IT, and related customers worldwide. The Software Engineer will design and develop data center infrastructure software, including management, diagnostic, provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools. The role also involves performance analysis, cross-functional collaboration, documentation, and evaluation of AI-assisted development approaches.
What you'll do:
- Contribute to design, development and maintain Software Management and Diagnostic Tools
- Build automated software solutions for provisioning, monitoring, configuration and troubleshooting across data center platforms
- Assist in configuring, running, and analyzing software and system performance benchmark workloads
- Troubleshoot software, automation, and integration issues and develop permanent solutions to improve reliability and maintainability
- Maintain technical documentation, APIs, and operational procedures for developed software solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions addressing real-world system management and operational requirements
- Continuously evaluate new technologies and AI-assisted approaches to improve software development efficiency, diagnostics, and operational workflows
What they're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
- 1+ years of experience in Software Engineering
- Strong Programming skills: Python; React/JavaScript/TypeScript/Redux toolkit; Ansible; Shell scripting
- Foundational understanding of software architecture, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance analysis
- Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple technical priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Master's degree
- K8s, Docker, Git, LLMs, AI Agent frameworks (LangChain, CrewAI), AI assisted development tools (Cursor)
