Software Engineer

Zelis is modernizing the healthcare financial experience across payers, providers, and healthcare consumers through technology-driven solutions. The Software Engineer will design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain backend services and supporting systems, work across the stack, and contribute to technical planning, code reviews, architectural discussions, and production operations.

What you'll do:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality backend services and supporting systems
• Work across the stack as needed to deliver complete, end-to-end solutions
• Contribute to services in production, including deployment, monitoring, performance, and operational health
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate functional requirements into technical solutions
• Contribute to architectural discussions with a focus on quality and maintainability
• Partner with engineers to identify and resolve production issues
• Participate in code reviews and learn best practices from the team

What they're looking for:

• BS degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent experience
• 0-2 years of professional experience (new graduates welcome)
• Experience or demonstrated interest in web-based application development
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Positive attitude, collaborative personality, and desire to learn
• Ability to learn new technologies and problem-solve effectively
• Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, Angular, PostgreSQL, or AWS
• Exposure to cloud platforms and modern infrastructure
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Experience with CI/CD concepts or automated testing
• Exposure to containerization or distributed systems
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools
