The Software Engineer is responsible for developing innovative software solutions that empower our customers and align with our overarching strategic goals. This %3Cstrong%3ESoftware Engineer %3C/strong%3Einvolves analyzing requirements, designing, debugging, testing, deploying, and maintaining high-performance software systems. Working collaboratively with product managers, developers, and cross-functional IT partners, you will delve into system flows, data usage, and work processes to recommend improvements, implement out-of-the-box or custom solutions, and support reliable business operations.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%26nbsp;%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%3Cstrong%3EResponsibilities:%3C/strong%3E%3C/p%3E%3Cul%3E%3Cli%3EDevelop, test, debug, and deploy innovative, high-performance software solutions based on comprehensive requirements analysis and collaboration with stakeholders and IT management.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3ESupport and maintain various production systems, monitoring performance and reliability to ensure uninterrupted business operations.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EGuide testing and configuration management processes, execute change and release management, and ensure source code integrity.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EConduct unit testing, feasibility assessments, and develop system documentation with clean, well-commented code.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EUse AI coding agents productively and responsibly: review and understand generated code before committing it and flag anything you are not confident.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EAssist with building small proof of concept examples or simple prototypes, under direction, to help the team test an idea%27s feasibility before it becomes a larger feature.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EParticipate actively in product design reviews, offering practical, creative ideas and technical solutions.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3ECollaborate closely with developers, IT partners, product managers, and customer service teams to enhance user experience and satisfy product goals.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EResearch, consider, and apply user insights, feedback, and usability metrics to inform design updates and revisions.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EMaintain product test software, test environments, and demos used for training and onboarding purposes.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EEnsure a comprehensive, secure, and disciplined approach to software engineering within the financial sector.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EOther duties as assigned.%3C/li%3E%3C/ul%3E%3Cp%3E%26nbsp;%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%3Cstrong%3EQualifications:%3C/strong%3E%3C/p%3E%3Cul%3E%3Cli%3ERequires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 1+ years of experience in software development, database technologies, version control systems, DevOps tools, cloud computing platforms, and microservices architecture. A combination and education and experience may meet qualifications.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EFinancial or banking services experience is a plus.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EBasic knowledge of software development lifecycles (SDLC), modern programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, or Python), and application servers (e.g., WebSphere, Tomcat).%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EExposure to or interest in using AI coding assistants (e.g. GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) as part of a professional development workflow, paired with the judgment to verify their output rather than trust it blindly.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EFamiliarity with or genuine interest in learning, Google Cloud Platform (e.g. Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, Cloud Run/GKE), deployment pipelines build and ship containers.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EBasic awareness of common web security risks (e.g. XSS, SQL injection) or a demonstrated willingness to learn secure coding practices quickly.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EWorking knowledge on any%26nbsp;of SQL, Postgres, MySQL, relational database management systems, data modeling concepts, and integrated application development methodology.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EFamiliarity with software design, integration patterns, high-performance development, and DevOps pipelines.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EAbility to analyze and map business requirements to technical solutions and adapt quickly to evolving technologies and business priorities.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EAbility to work effectively in a collaborative team environment as well as independently under normal supervision.%3C/li%3E%3C/ul%3E%3Cp%3E%26nbsp;%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%3Cstrong%3EVisa Sponsorship:%3C/strong%3E%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%26nbsp;%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis position is currently not eligible for employment visa sponsorship (e.g., H-1B visa).
