Software Engineer - Data Platform

Verkada is transforming how organizations protect their people and places with an integrated, privacy-sensitive AI-powered platform. As a member of the Data Platform team, you will build the data infrastructure, products, and services that enable teams across the company to make data-driven decisions and ultimately deliver high-quality products to our users.

What you'll do:

• Build and evolve analytical infrastructure that enables teams to easily collect, transform, analyze, and understand data
• Build real-time data infrastructure to support streaming data processing and provide real-time visibility into critical business and system metrics
• Work cross-functionally to build data products used across the company, including by Engineering, Finance, Accounting, and other teams
• Design and implement solutions that ensure data quality, reliability, security, and compliance
• Make informed technical decisions and take end-to-end ownership of the services and applications you build

What they're looking for:

• 1-3 years of software engineering experience
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving priorities
• Passion for product quality and building reliable systems that enable teams to move quickly
• Strong interest in cross-functional collaboration and solving problems beyond traditional team boundaries
• Proficiency in Python and Go
• Experience with distributed data systems and technologies such as Spark, Presto/Trino, Hive, or similar technologies
