Software Engineer (Early Career)

Yara AI is building a modern platform for finding work through profiles, smart matching, and human-centered recruiting. The Software Engineer role is for early-career engineers joining small in-person teams in New York, building and deploying software quickly, including projects involving TypeScript, Python, Go, and large language models.

What they're looking for:

• You're graduating this year, or you finished within the last three years
• Your GitHub is the strongest thing you have, and you want someone to actually read it
• You've built something people used: a tool, a bot, a site, a game, an agent
• You'd rather be the third engineer somewhere real than the 300th in a grad program
• You want to be in New York, in the office, learning from people a few years ahead of you
• A CS degree, a bootcamp with real projects, or no degree and a body of work that speaks for itself
• 0 to 3 years of experience, including internships that shipped
• Working TypeScript, Python, or Go, plus something you deployed and then maintained
• LLM-powered side projects that go past a chat wrapper: tool-calling, agents, evals
• Energy for work-trial interviews: build for a day or two, get a real answer
• You live in the New York area, or you're ready to move for the right team
