About this role
Arch is a financial technology company that automates the management of private investments through standardized data, documents, and insights. The Software Engineer will help develop and scale platform components, build application features and services, and support automation, product offerings, and infrastructure growth while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
What you'll do:
- Working with cross-functional teams (product, design, operations, infrastructure) to build and improve application features
- Contributing to both user-facing interfaces and backend services using modern frameworks and technologies
- Helping develop reusable software components and APIs that connect front-end and back-end systems
- Writing clean, efficient, and reliable code, and learning how to optimize for performance and scalability
- Participating in code reviews and learning best practices from peers and senior engineers
- Assisting in designing and implementing systems that are scalable and maintainable across the stack
- Troubleshooting and fixing issues across front-end, APIs, and databases
- Gaining experience working with multiple programming languages, frameworks, and databases
- Taking responsibility for assigned tasks and features, developing an end-to-end understanding of how they work
What they're looking for:
- You currently in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent field, and are graduating between December 2026 and August 2027
- Have experience building and programming, through internships, class projects, or personal work
- Have strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design
- Have frontend or backend development experience, full-stack exposure is a plus
- Have a track record of taking on projects and seeing them through, even in ambiguous or fast-moving settings
- Communicate and collaborate well across both technical and non-technical people
- Have contributed to a personal project, open-source work, or something outside a classroom that shows how you actually build
- Have exposure to the kind of problems we solve here: automation, data-heavy systems, or fintech
- Enjoy debugging and troubleshooting complex systems, not just building new features
Benefits:
- Equity
- Strong team support
- High-impact work with real responsibility from day one
- Team community and camaraderie
- Great office at 199 Water Street
- Lunch is provided in the office
