About this role
Cherry is a fast-growing FinTech offering patient financing solutions for medical practices. The company is seeking an entry-level software engineer to build and ship end-to-end software, work across the technology stack, improve observability and reliability, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact features.
What you'll do:
- Build and ship end-to-end software that brings Cherry into more practices, as well as help launch new products beyond patient financing
- Work across the stack (from frontend and backend to integrations and infrastructure) and contribute to technical and architectural decisions
- Build and improve observability, monitoring, and metrics that make our products safer, faster, and more reliable for practices and patients
- Collaborate with product, design, data, and operations to rapidly deliver high-impact features and experiment toward measurable outcomes
What they're looking for:

- Strong programming fundamentals and experience building software through internships, coursework, research, personal projects, or other hands-on experience
- Curiosity across the stack and an eagerness to learn modern frameworks, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and how production systems operate
- A generalist mindset: you're excited to tackle unfamiliar problems, learn quickly, and contribute wherever you can have the most impact
- Thrives in ambiguous and fast-paced environments with a strong willingness to push yourself and grow
- Strong communication and collaboration skills. This includes the ability to maintain regular morning collaboration windows with teammates in Europe
- Internship experience at an early-stage startup
- Familiarity with one or more technologies in our stack, such as React, TypeScript, Node.js, Kotlin, Postgres, Airflow, dbt, Snowflake, or Temporal
- Exposure to building or integrating APIs, internal tools, dashboards, workflow automations, or other software used by real users
- Side projects, open-source contributions, hackathons, research, or other examples of software you've built outside of the classroom
Benefits:
- Bonus
- Generous equity grant
- Medical, vision, and dental benefits
- Fully remote work
- Bi-annual company retreats across the globe
- Flexible PTO
