About this role
Dash Bio accelerates drug development through automation-native lab workflows and integrated software for the biopharma industry. The company is seeking an Associate Software Engineer or Software Engineer (Full Stack) to develop and maintain full-stack software for lab automation and bioanalysis workflows, integrate systems with laboratory instruments, and build APIs, user interfaces, and database solutions.
What you'll do:
- Develop, test, and maintain robust software features across the full stack (Node.js/React)
- Understand our lab operations to effectively integrate software solutions with real-world lab instruments and automation hardware
- Architect, implement, and optimize APIs and services to support complex data processing and lab workflows
- Build and refine responsive, intuitive user interfaces for lab scientists using React, ensuring a seamless user experience
- Work with relational databases to ensure data is captured accurately, stored efficiently, and is highly accessible
- Actively participate in code reviews, write clean and documented code, and contribute comprehensively to unit and integration testing
- Independently debug and resolve technical issues in a fast-paced environment, assisting peers when needed
What they're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or other science/engineering discipline with demonstrated software development experience
- 0–4 years of professional software development experience
- Fundamental knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript
- Exposure to React and Node.js (or similar)
- Familiarity with SQL and relational database concepts
- Strong desire to troubleshoot complex problems and learn new technologies quickly
- Desire to work on-site with a cross-functional team of scientists and engineers
