About this role
Everlaw is a litigation and investigation management platform that uses AI to help legal teams analyze large volumes of electronic evidence. The company is seeking a Software Engineer I to build and deploy end-to-end product features, collaborate across teams, and improve platform reliability and maintainability.
What you'll do:
- Build new product features end-to-end, taking projects from initial architectural design through implementation and deployment
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Developer Operations to design, build, and launch functionality seamlessly
- Maintain and improve the reliability of our platform by debugging complex issues across a large-scale codebase
- Contribute to system documentation and team knowledge-sharing to keep our codebase easy to navigate and maintain
- Partner with your dedicated onboarding mentor to ramp up quickly on our platform architecture, development practices, and product domains
What they're looking for:
- You have a BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent coursework
- You have experience and proficiency in coding in a compiled language (C++, Java, etc) and scripting language (Python, JavaScript, etc)
- You have a strong foundational knowledge of computer science concepts, algorithms, and data structures
- You've built and delivered software projects through class assignments, personal projects, or internships
- You bring strong strategic thinking and a collaborative approach to solving complex technical problems
- You are authorized to work in the United States. Please note that at this time, Everlaw is not sponsoring U.S. employment visas for this role
- You are familiar with Linux operating systems and environments
- You have hands-on experience using Git or a similar version control system
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills
- You have held a campus leadership position or completed a technical research program
