Software Engineer Intern - AI & Cloud

## About the Team/Role: As a Software Engineer Intern on the WEX Technology team, you will collaborate with Product Managers and engineers to solve complex business challenges. You will gain hands-on experience building scalable software, leveraging modern practices, and developing AI-driven solutions. ## How you'll make an impact: - Build AI Solutions: Design, prototype, and deploy AI agents and LLM integrations to automate workflows and enhance product capabilities. - Ship Production Code: Work across the full software lifecycle—from API design and implementation to automated testing and CI/CD deployment. - Collaborate & Innovate: Partner with cross-functional teams to translate customer needs into resilient, high-availability microservices. - Learn & Grow: Apply TDD/BDD practices, receive peer mentorship, and continuously explore modern technologies and frameworks. ## Experience you'll bring: - Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - Proficiency in at least one server-side language (languages we use and teach: C#, Go, Java). - Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, LLM integration, or AI agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen) through coursework or personal projects is a plus. - Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset.
