Software Engineer Intern

ARA is a 100% employee-owned scientific research and engineering company dedicated to solving critical national problems. The Software Engineer Intern will work with developers and engineers in an agile environment to design, develop, test, document, and support software products for diverse clients.

What you'll do:

• Designing, developing, and debugging applications in C#, Java, or JavaScript
• Frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue
• Performing code analysis and review
• Designing and implementing graphical user interfaces
• Unit testing
• Documenting software functionality
• Software support after release

• * Pursuing a Bachelor of Science or higher in Computer Science or related field
• * Some knowledge (or relevant coursework) of agile development methods
• * Some knowledge (or relevant coursework) of C#, Java, or JavaScript
• * Solid oral and written communication skills
• * Ability to work effectively in small team settings
• * **Detail Oriented:**Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well
• * **Team Player:**Works well as a member of a group
• * Pursuing a Bachelor of Science or higher in Computer Science or related field
• * Familiarity with relational databases and SQL
• * Experience (or relevant coursework) with a frontend framework (React, Angular, or Vue)
• * Understanding of responsive web design
