Our team of engineering experts help our customers select technical, and often configured, product solutions for their unique applications. ## What You'll Do As a Software Engineering Intern at our Westerville, OH, location, you will have the opportunity to work directly with the engineers and scientists who are developing the next generation of Lake Shore Cryotronics software for our state-of-the-art instruments, systems, or manufacturing software. ## Essential Job Functions - Apply modern software concepts and patterns to translate software requirements into design. - Use various software development languages, technologies, and tools to build software. - Write performant, readable, modular, and testable code using advanced software engineering techniques. ## Requirements - Working toward an undergraduate bachelor's degree in Software Engineering (CSE), Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), or a related field. - Minimum GPA of 3.0. - Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Experience with Python is a plus. ## Application vs. Embedded Position Requirements The following requirements are dependent on the specific software group you are assigned to. - Application Software Development: C# experience required; Microsoft SQL Server, Vue.js, Node.js, and JavaScript preferred. - Embedded Software Development: Embedded C++ experience required. ## Work Environment This position operates in a professional office environment.
