Software Engineer Intern

## About the role As a software engineering intern at Semgrep, you’ll help us build a new category of developer-focused security tools to prevent bugs and security vulnerabilities. You will be joining the team behind the widely used Semgrep. You will get to ship features that make it easier for teams to integrate Semgrep into their existing workflows or build improvements that help our services scale and remain reliable. Along the way, you will work with a dedicated group of full-stack developers, security researchers, program analysis experts, and infrastructure engineers. You will learn from senior developers who bring experience and wisdom from Google, Facebook, and successful startups. ## You will - Design and ship new features in a full-stack codebase using Python, PostgreSQL, Typescript, and React - Work with our users, product team, and design team to address user pain points - Query our aggregated metrics and run experiments to help understand and improve core Semgrep workflows - Collaborate with your team through code reviews, design discussions, and demos - Learn from a peer mentor whose job is to help you succeed, and to help you get what you want out of your internship - Present your work to the team at the end of your internship ## You are ideal for this role if you - Have taken multiple college courses in computer science or equivalent experience - Are interested in making a career out of software or a related field - Have experience in a dynamic language like Python, Ruby, Javascript, or PHP - Are excited about software security and developer enablement - Are able to work in our San Francisco office 5 days/week. - Are you able to start on either Monday, May 24th, 2027 or Monday, June 14th, 2027
