Software Engineer Intern

Visionist, Inc. is an employee-owned company solving software and analysis challenges for the Intelligence Community. The Software Engineer Intern will work on a group project to design and develop a real-world application, participating in the full development lifecycle and using technologies including Java, React, JavaScript, AWS, and GitHub.

What you'll do:

• Work on a group project that includes backend, user-interface, and content management
• Participate in the full development life cycle including research, design, testing and running the systems
• Explore new technologies and have fun finding the best tools (while Java is the primary language, you can also expect to use React, JavaScript, and AWS)
• Develop a working knowledge of GitHub using pull requests, feature branching and code versioning
• Gain debugging and problem-solving skills, along with oral and written communication skills
• Explore new technologies and work the with most advanced tools

What they're looking for:

• Expected 2028 or 2029 graduation with a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field
• Proven application development experience either from a school related project, personal projects or past internships
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to demonstrate initiative
• Detail-oriented, results-oriented, and action-oriented
• U.S citizenship required (green card holders and permanent residents are not eligible)
