Software Engineer Intern, Cloud Services (Summer 2027)

HP IQ is HP’s AI innovation lab developing intelligent technologies across HP’s portfolio. The Software Engineer Intern will contribute to developing, testing, and operating integrated cloud services that support AI-driven hardware products, collaborating with hardware, AI, and platform engineering teams.

What you'll do:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, AI, and platform engineering to develop, test, and operate integrated cloud services
• Contribute to projects involving AI assistants, conference room devices, and more
• Work independently and collaboratively to solve complex problems and deliver high-quality software
• Communicate effectively across teams to ensure alignment and successful project delivery

What they're looking for:

• Currently pursuing a Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience or strong interest in hardware-software integration, cloud services, and AI technologies
• Ability to work independently in a small, fast-paced team environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally
• Experience with automation and infrastructure
• Exposure to building services at scale
• Familiarity with technologies such as Spring Boot
