Software Engineer Intern (Summer 2027)

Figma is a collaborative design and product development platform company seeking software engineering interns for its product and infrastructure teams. Interns will work with mentors and small engineering teams to build, test, document, and ship meaningful features, tools, or systems while collaborating with cross-functional partners.

What you'll do:

• Be fully embedded onto a Figma engineering team
• Contribute to projects that directly align with team goals and impact
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, designers, and QA to break down features and plan timelines
• Build, document, and maintain tests, features, or infrastructure
• Share feedback and participate in peer code review
• Ship your project(s) by the end of your internship!

What they're looking for:

• Experience writing clean code in at least one general-purpose language (e.g. C++, JavaScript, Python, Java, etc.), with a solid grasp of core CS concepts like data structures and algorithms
• Experience solving technical problems through school, work, or personal projects
• Are excited to explore how systems are designed and operate, from infrastructure to UI
• Strong communicator who asks great questions, collaborates well with others, and is excited to learn, get feedback, and grow as an engineer
