Software Engineer Intern (Summer 2027)

Tower Research Capital is a quantitative trading firm that develops high-performance electronic trading and engineering systems. The Software Engineer Intern will optimize low-latency systems, build data pipelines and trading systems, and develop automation solutions for trading operations.

What you'll do:

• Optimizing systems by using network and systems programming, as well as other advanced techniques to minimize latency
• Designing, building, and leveraging systems to collect, analyze, and visualize large amounts of data
• Building data pipelines to capture reference and market data and developing systems that provide fast and easy access to them
• Building trading systems for algo trading
• Enhancing the efficiency of trading operations by developing (AI assisted) automation solutions and products

What they're looking for:

• • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD student
• • Majoring in computer science or related fields
• • Deep knowledge of programming concepts and object-oriented programming
• • Knowledge of development languages (including C++, Golang, Java, JavaScript, Python, or Rust)
• • Knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• • Working knowledge of Linux
• • Strong problem-solving abilities and communication skills
• • Interest in financial markets
