Software Engineer Intern (Summer 2027)

Zipline operates an autonomous drone delivery and logistics system serving healthcare, retail, food, and other essential-goods needs. The Software Engineer Intern will take ownership of features across consumer mobile and web applications, build React Native, Python, and Go software, collaborate cross-functionally, and contribute to technical direction and engineering practices.

What you'll do:

• Take technical ownership of critical features across Zipline’s consumer mobile and web apps, from design through deployment and iteration
• Build features in the React Native mobile codebase or backend services in Python and Go
• Collaborate cross-functionally to build user-facing features that are fast, elegant, and grounded in a strong understanding of customer needs
• Influence our long-term technical roadmap and contribute to team-wide engineering best practices

What they're looking for:

• You must have completed the second year of your undergraduate studies
• Passion for software development and curiosity to learn new technology stacks
• Strong understanding in computer science fundamentals
• A product mindset and passion for crafting intuitive, delightful customer experiences
• This internship is a full-time position, in-person at our South San Francisco office. We will host our Summer 2027 interns from (May/June - August/September)
