Software Engineer (Internship, Summer 2027)

Heliux is building the AI-native operating system for the manufacturing enterprise. As an intern, you will be responsible for end-to-end design, development, and delivery of our core software platform, operating at the same capacity as a full-time engineer.

What you'll do:

• Acquire expertise in hardware engineering and manufacturing through immersive, hands-on problem-solving with our customers
• Rapidly design, build, test, deliver, and maintain complex software systems that are performant, reliable, and scalable
• Contribute to the high-level technical direction of both the organization and the platform to ensure we are always accelerating the velocity of our work
• Relentlessly solve any and all technical problems that stand in the way of company objectives—and therefore, our success

What they're looking for:

• Proven experience building complex, scalable software systems from zero-to-one—i.e., problem identification to production-grade solution
• Demonstrated proficiency in programming languages such as Rust, Python, Java, TypeScript, or similar
• Inherent desire to operate with extreme levels of urgency across all aspects of life and work
• To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
