This %3Cstrong%3ESoftware Engineer%3C/strong%3E will improve application performance, scalability, and reliability across online and batch processing platforms. This role focuses on 40% Performance Engineering and 60% Application Performance Tuning / Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%26nbsp;%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%3Cstrong%3EResponsibilities:%3C/strong%3E%3C/p%3E%3Cul%3E%3Cli%3EDesign and execute load, stress, scalability, and endurance tests using JMeter, or LoadRunner.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EAnalyze application, API, database, and batch processing performance under load.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EIdentify performance bottlenecks across application, infrastructure, and database layers, and provide recommendations for performance improvements and optimization.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EMonitor system health, reliability, and performance using observability platforms such as Grafana, Splunk, or similar tools.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EDrive root cause analysis, performance tuning, and resiliency improvements.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EIntegrate performance testing and monitoring into CI/CD pipelines.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EPartner with development and platform teams to ensure applications meet performance, availability, and scalability goals.%3C/li%3E%3C/ul%3E%3Cp%3E%26nbsp;%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%3Cstrong%3EQualifications:%3C/strong%3E%3C/p%3E%3Cul%3E%3Cli%3EStrong experience with performance testing tools such as Apache JMeter, LoadRunner, etc.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3E4-5+ years of experience in Performance Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field plus Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EExperience analyzing performance of REST APIs, SOAP Services, Event-driven systems, Microservices, and Batch processing applications%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EStrong proficiency in Java, Python, C#, or similar programming languages.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EStrong SQL and database performance tuning experience.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EKnowledge of Linux, cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and monitoring/observability tools.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EStrong troubleshooting experience (CPU bottlenecks, memory leaks, thread contention, garbage collection issues, database performance problems, network latency issues), performance analysis, and problem-solving skills.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EExperience in application performance tuning, reliability engineering, or SRE practices.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EKnowledge of distributed systems and modern application architecture.%3C/li%3E%3C/ul%3E%3Cp%3E%26nbsp;%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%3Cstrong%3EPreferred Qualifications:%3C/strong%3E%3C/p%3E%3Cul%3E%3Cli%3EExperience with Kubernetes and containerized workloads%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EExperience with Google Cloud%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EExperience implementing SLI/SLO/error budget framework%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EExperience supporting high-volume enterprise banking or financial systems%3C/li%3E%3C/ul%3E%3Cp%3E%26nbsp;%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%3Cstrong%3EVisa Sponsorship:%3C/strong%3E%3Cbr%3E%3Cbr%3E%26nbsp;%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis position is currently not eligible for employment visa sponsorship (e.g., H-1B visa).
