Software Engineering/Data Vision Intern

Martin's Famous Potato Rolls and Bread is a multi-facility bakery company producing and distributing baked goods domestically and internationally. The Software Engineering/Data Vision Intern will support the Engineering Department by analyzing data, researching solutions, collaborating on project requirements, and documenting software materials.

What you'll do:

• Think logically and reasonably to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
• Knowledge of Software Engineering concepts and principles
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts by collecting and analyzing data
• Research solutions to project concerns, analyze and recommend solutions to problems
• Collaborate with the Engineering team to understand project requirements, objectives, and timelines
• Assist in documenting software specifications, technical procedures, and user guides to ensure clear communication among team members
• Understand department needs and seek clarification when needed
• Adheres to and enforces safety, food safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices regulations
• Reports food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action

What they're looking for:

• Knowledge of Software Engineering concepts and principles
• High School Diploma or GED
• Currently attending accredited institution pursuing a degree in Software Engineering or a related field
• Microsoft Office ; Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts
• The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles
• The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock
