Software Engineering Intern

Ag Leader Technology develops agricultural technology solutions that help farmers plan, plant, apply, and harvest more efficiently. The Software Engineering Intern will contribute to embedded and Linux-based software systems by designing, implementing, testing, and improving solutions in collaboration with experienced, cross-functional engineering teams.

What you'll do:

• Collaborate with your team to design, build, and test solutions that solve real customer problems
• Lead the design, implementation, and testing of innovative software solutions that exceed customer needs
• Deliver high-quality, working code within each sprint and demonstrate product features to stakeholders and company-wide audiences
• Champion continuous improvement, agile practices, and change initiatives by identifying and resolving challenges using root cause analysis or similar methods
• Take part in retrospectives and code reviews as a two-way conversation — share your perspective and receive feedback that helps you grow
• Get hands-on experience across multiple programming languages and technologies as projects call for it

What they're looking for:

• Currently pursuing a degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• Some coursework or project experience in C++ (class projects, personal projects, or hackathons all count)
• Curiosity, collaboration, and a willingness to ask questions and give/receive feedback

• Python scripting
• Strong foundations in math
• Comfort working in a Linux environment, or eagerness to learn
