Software Engineering Intern

Aviator is building AI-powered engineering productivity tools that help software teams automate workflows and build software more effectively. The Software Engineering Intern will work on backend engineering initiatives, collaborate with users and the engineering team, build prototypes and products, and drive product-focused projects.

What you'll do:

• Work closely with the users to understand their development needs and use cases to guide our roadmap. Ensure customer needs are supported by broader engineering team through effective prioritization
• Build prototypes all the way to final products. Solve complex issues for our users
• Collaborate with our team to gather requirements through detailed technical discussions and brainstorming sessions
• Explore new product development areas driven by strategic understanding of users landscape
• Take ownership and drive initiatives for segments within the product

What they're looking for:

• * Owned previous projects - whether it was in your previous internship or projects outside of work
• * The ability to work in a low-structure environment and is comfortable working with unknowns
• * Passion for building engineering tools, excited about solving problems for engineers
• * Strong communication skills
• * Strong debugging and critical thinking skills
• * Previous internship experience
• * Pursuing BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• * Previous experience working with or building internal engineering tools is a plus
