About this role
V2X builds smart solutions that integrate physical and digital infrastructure to support security, logistics, and mission readiness. The Software Engineering Intern will support software design, development, documentation, and testing while working with target hardware and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
What you'll do:
- Gain an understanding of typical software documentation and help prepare them
- Learn commonly used software engineering tools and best practices (e.g. Git, ADO, scripting for testing, VSCode, etc.)
- Providing basic support for software development in different software environments and target hardware (e.g. Linux, Android, RTOS, Windows)
- Sharpen your Software Engineering knowledge
- Participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Contributing to the completion of project/program milestones under the general guidance of the immediate supervisor and team leaders and mentor
- Learn and follow established Software Engineering processes and procedures
What they're looking for:
- • Positive attitude and proven leadership skills
- • Customer focus and ability to collaborate
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- • Software, Computer Engineering or related course work
- • Basic coding skills in one or more of the following: C/C++, Java, Python, Bash, etc
- • Ability to access systems with information restricted to U.S. citizens per federal contract requirements is required
- • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) secret security clearance
- • Knowledge of MS Office or other presentation tools
- • Previous Engineering project and/or internship experience
- • Ability to work in a team environment
