Software Engineering Intern [Fall/Winter 2026]

Melius is a creative technology company focused on building innovative tools for generative media. They are seeking a Software Engineering Intern who will work on various projects, collaborate with senior engineers, and contribute to the development of agentic interfaces.

What you'll do:

• Building new tools for our agent end-to-end — what it can do on the canvas, what it can change in the timeline editor, and how it can semantically search in the asset manager
• Sitting in on user sessions, watching a creative hit a rough edge, and shipping the fix that same hour
• Adding evals and traces that tell us, honestly, whether the agent got better this week
• Polishing canvas interactions that thousands of creatives touch every day — the small details users never explicitly notice but always feel

What they're looking for:

• Pursuing a degree in CS (or equivalent)
• Built something real: a side project people actually used, open source contributions, a previous internship where you shipped
• Comfortable in TypeScript, or good enough at programming that you'll be effective in it within a week
• Played with LLMs beyond the chat box. Tool-calling, agent frameworks, React Flow, Yjs/CRDTs, or anything you hacked together at 2am are all table stakes
• Care about small details users never explicitly notice
• Comfortable with uncertainty
• Default to shipping
