Software Engineering Intern - Summer 2027

Plastipak offers internships focused on hands-on experience, professional development, and networking in a supportive work setting. The Software Engineering Intern will develop, design, and troubleshoot manufacturing software, build applications used across facilities, support SCADA system development, collaborate across teams, and explore emerging technologies such as machine learning and AI.

What you'll do:

• Develop, design, and troubleshoot manufacturing software that helps Plastipak maintain its competitive edge
• Build applications used across our facilities, support SCADA system development, and collaborate across teams to solve technical challenges
• You’ll also explore emerging technologies—including machine learning and AI—and participate in professional development and networking opportunities with industry leaders

What they're looking for:

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree & majoring in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
• 3.0
• Expected graduation date of December 2027 or Spring 2028
• During the internship period, you will be residing within a commutable distance of Corporate Headquarters in Plymouth, MI
• Eligible to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship, & will not require employer sponsorship after graduation
