Software Engineering Intern (Summer 2027)

RTX is a leader in aerospace and defense, offering exceptional career opportunities. The Software Engineering Intern will support various software development life cycle aspects while collaborating with a multi-disciplined team on military and commercial programs.

What you'll do:

• Support all aspects of a software development life cycle as members of a multi-disciplined team. This would include supporting new and legacy military and commercial programs from concept and requirements, to design, development, integration, test, and potentially subsequent maintenance tasking
• Use creative solutions to complex technical system and software integration problems
• Works closely with Systems Engineers to design ideal solutions with the end user and operational needs in mind
• Work onsite at McKinney, TX

What they're looking for:

• Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session
• Experience in object-oriented programming
• Experience in developing, testing, and integrating real-time software applications
• Experience using Visual Studio or other IDE
