Software Engineering Intern (Summer 2027) (Open)

Raytheon develops aerospace and defense technologies, including integrated air and missile defense, space-based systems, and satellite ground solutions. The Software Engineering Intern will develop software for satellite ground systems, research advanced technologies, and collaborate with engineering and development teams during the Summer 2027 internship.

What you'll do:

• Develop software for satellite ground systems
• Research and implement advanced software technologies
• Work with talented engineers, architects, and development teams

What they're looking for:

• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
• Active and existing security clearance required after day 1
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in an applicable discipline and actively enrolled through completion of the internship / co-op session
• Must have a minimum of 30 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session
• Experience developing object-oriented software using Java
• Knowledge of data structures
• Experience programming using C++ and Python
• Experience with Agile development
• Interest in satellite ground system software and related technologies such as mission management, planning and scheduling, command and telemetry, satellite operations, and flight dynamics models
