The Software Engineering Intern will contribute to software products, platforms, APIs, cloud services, testing initiatives, and other technology projects while gaining exposure to the software development lifecycle and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

What you'll do:

  • Contribute to the design, development, testing, and delivery of software solutions used in real business environments
  • Build or enhance front-end applications, backend services, APIs, cloud-based solutions, or internal tools
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while learning and applying engineering best practices
  • Develop or enhance automated tests and testing frameworks that help ensure software quality, accuracy, and reliability
  • Support performance testing, benchmarking, or other initiatives that help teams understand and improve application scalability and system performance
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, code reviews, technical discussions, and team collaboration
  • Troubleshoot, debug, test, and improve existing applications for quality, performance, reliability, and scalability
  • Support the development and modernization of secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and services
  • Work with data, integrations, authentication, authorization, or other components that support modern software platforms
  • Research technical challenges and help evaluate or propose potential solutions
  • Explore opportunities to apply AI, automation, data, and emerging technologies to products, testing, engineering workflows, or business challenges
  • Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional partners to understand requirements and translate them into working technology

What they're looking for:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Health Informatics, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Understanding of core computer science and software engineering concepts such as data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and software design
  • Experience with at least one programming language such as Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or another modern language
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to work through unfamiliar technical challenges
  • Familiarity with version control concepts and tools such as Git
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others
  • Curiosity about technology and a willingness to learn new languages, frameworks, tools, and development practices
  • Ability to adapt, ask questions, take feedback, and contribute in a fast-paced, team-oriented engineering environment
  • Candidates must have authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future
  • Coursework or project experience in software development, web development, cloud computing, databases, APIs, distributed systems, or software testing
  • Experience with languages or frameworks such as C#/.NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Vue, Java, or Python
  • Familiarity with SQL, relational databases, BigQuery, or other data technologies
