Software Intern Engineer

General Dynamics Mission Systems develops high-technology solutions for defense and scientific missions. The Software Intern Engineer will apply classroom-learned skills, collaborate with engineering teams on technical projects, and support solutions for national security missions while working fully on-site in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.

What you'll do:

• Apply your classroom-learned skills to a program supporting the defense of our country
• The selected candidates will work with collaborative teams on various technical projects associated with our core mission

What they're looking for:

• Candidates should demonstrate a thorough understanding of engineering technology
• Engineering Interns must be enrolled in an accredited degree program in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or other related scientific or technical discipline with a preference for a standing of a sophomore or higher
• Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire
• Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
• Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required
• This position is fully on-site in our Pittsfield, Massachusetts location
• Department of Defense security clearance is preferred at time of hire
