About this role
Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, provides advanced defense, engineering, and national security solutions. The Software Machine Learning Engineer 1 will support Facilities Engineering by developing and executing projects focused on robotics, automation, and advanced manufacturing technology equipment, while overseeing multidisciplinary teams, engineering disciplines, field activities, and project costs and schedules.
What you'll do:
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams to oversee development and implementation of manufacturing facility projects across all project management phases
- Perform engineering oversight for design engineering disciplines: electrical, mechanical, electromechanical controls, and/or structural
- Provide field engineering, field technical assessments, and contractor management during construction
- Provide manufacturing process engineering and technology development
- Control project costs and schedules
What they're looking for:
- 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevantexperience
- Candidate must have experience with Bachelors in Engineering from an ABET accredited program in one ofthe following disciplines: Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or Mechatronics
- Candidate must have experience developing custom GUIs, HMI's, or other operator interfaces
- Candidate must have experience analyzing design engineering requirements documents and electrical,mechanical, and structural drawings
- Candidate must have strong project management, scheduling, and organizational skills
- Candidate must have strong leadership and communication skills
- Candidate must have strong computer skills – Windows and MS Office Suite
- Candidate must have the ability to work independently and be a part of cross-functional teams inaccomplishment of complex tasks
- Candidate must have the ability to address technical, quality and business aspects of a project
- Candidate must have the ability to complete assigned tasks on schedule and within budget
- Candidate must have the ability to learn independently through your own research and experimentation
- Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen
