Software/ML Engineer (Top-Secret)

ITC Federal is hiring a Software/ML Engineer to support Microsoft's Spectre team and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. The role builds cloud-native services and backend systems that power geospatial AI foundation models and agentic workflows.

What you'll do:

• Design, build, and operate cloud-native microservices in Python to support AI foundation models and agentic workflows at scale
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and backend services using Azure AKS, IAM, Redis, and messaging systems with production-grade reliability
• Apply Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and ensure production readiness
• Partner with industry-leading Engineers, Data Scientists, Designers, and Program Managers to deliver solid technical designs

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, required
• Proven experience in data science, software development, data modeling, or data engineering, OR equivalent experience
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience with machine learning delivery responsibilities
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements
• Must have an active Top Secret (TS) security clearance
• U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of this government contract
• TS/SCI preferred but not required
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, backend services, and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker)
• Experience with Azure cloud services (AKS, IAM, Redis, messaging systems)
• Background in building scalable, distributed backend systems
• Practical experience working with geospatial workflows or datasets
