Software Project Engineer Intern - Summer 2027 Onsite

Discover opportunities to make a difference at RTX. ## What You Will Do - Work with the Project Engineering lead on the program to drive the program forward. - Help track project tasks and follow up with team members to ensure timely closure. - Partner with engineering, test, and manufacturing teams to support program execution. - Participate in root cause analysis and resolution of complex hardware-software issues. - Understand and utilize the appropriate Collins Aerospace processes and tools during product and software development, resulting in increased product quality and improving customer satisfaction. ## What You Will Learn - Work with an experienced team to learn best practices and Collins’ engineering processes for implementing world-class embedded solutions. - Work with cutting-edge technologies developed both in-house and by external vendors. - Set a foundation to improve engineering skills and the ability to resolve complex problems. - Learn how requirements flow through design, test, and verification. - Gain exposure to aerospace certification, standards, or design reviews. ## Qualifications You Must Have - Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session. ## Preferred Qualifications - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to work independently. - Experience in project management. - Experience in budgeting as it relates to projects. ## What We Offer - RTX values Trust, Respect, Accountability, Collaboration, and Innovation. - Relocation eligibility. - Eligible applicants may receive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.This position is classified as onsite.
