But the heartbeat of SHI is our employees – all 7,000 of them. ## Job Summary The Cloud & DevOps Solutions Engineer is responsible for designing and managing CI/CD pipelines, developing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, and ensuring system compliance and security. This role involves automating processes to improve development efficiency, conducting root cause analysis for production issues, and integrating AWS and Azure services into existing infrastructure. The Cloud & DevOps Solutions Engineer will collaborate with development teams to implement new features while ensuring adherence to best practices in software development. ## Role Description - Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines. - Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform. - Monitor system performance and manage source code, ensuring operations reports are accurate. - Ensure systems are updated, compliant with standards, and secure against cyber threats. - Develop and maintain on-premises tooling solutions. - Automate processes to enhance development efficiency and outcomes. - Conduct root cause analysis for production issues to prevent recurrence. - Collaborate with development teams to integrate new software features. - Oversee the integration of AWS and Azure services into the existing infrastructure. - Ensure software development follows best practices and established processes. ## Behaviors and Competencies - Adaptability: Can adjust to changes in the work environment, manage multiple tasks, and effectively handle uncertainty. - Analytical Thinking: Can apply critical thinking to analyze data, identify patterns, and make basic inferences. - Collaboration: Can actively participate in team discussions, respect differing opinions, and collaborate with others to achieve common goals. - Continuous Improvement: Can identify moderate areas for improvement and implement moderate changes. - Digital Acumen: Can identify opportunities to use digital tools for improvement and propose digital solutions. - Problem-Solving: Can identify problems, propose solutions, and take action to resolve them without explicit instructions. - Technical Expertise: Can apply technical knowledge and skills effectively in most situations, with occasional guidance. ## Skill Level Requirements - Knowledge of Azure Cloud Platforms and associated services. - Expertise in project management frameworks such as Agile, Waterfall, and Scrum — Basic. - Hands-on experience with any flavor of Kubernetes. - Knowledge of network protocols and technologies, security concepts, and network threats and security solutions — Basic. - Ability to utilize version control systems such as GitHub and Azure DevOps effectively — Basic. - Competence in managing and maintaining Active Directory, AWS, VMware, and Windows Server platforms — Basic. - Ability to effectively utilize Jenkins, Groovy, Terraform, Splunk, Git and/or SonarSource — Basic. - Ability to design, develop, and integrate APIs — Basic. - Knowledge of observability tools like Grafana. ## Other Requirements - Completed bachelor's degree or relevant work experience required. - 1-3 years of experience in cloud computing required. - 1-3 years of experience in a similar role required. - 1-3 years of experience in Azure preferred. - Knowledge of NVIDIA AI platform is a big plus. ## Compensation and Benefits The estimated annual pay range for this position is $90,000 - $145,000, which includes a base salary and bonus.
