About this role

The Central Electrical Engineering Co-op will support electrical safety audits, equipment documentation, power quality analysis, and energy-efficiency initiatives in an industrial plant environment.

What you'll do:

  • Safety Improvement Project Audit electrical safety and Arc Flash labels. (work at plants and CDE)
  • Verify plant lockout/tagout documentation accessibility
  • Construction process observations/Safety triangle
  • Create a corrective action list
  • Design & Electrical Project Documentation Review and update Process Machine data sheets to US standards
  • Project new equipment power balance
  • Michelin Electrical specifications and updates
  • Michelin drawings nomenclature and drawing storage
  • AutoCAD/PDF inventory with CDE
  • Support equipment Procurement and bidding process/bidding summaries
  • Power quality and Energy efficiency/energy metering
  • Collect and analyze electrical data usage from plant meters or Power Xpert

What they're looking for:

  • A willingness to work in an industrial plant environment (Monday-Friday on day shift)
  • Major in Electrical Engineering or related fields for scope of work above
  • The ability to interact in a professional manner with external partners, suppliers, customers, and colleagues
  • Success in working with other people or team to meet a common objective
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office® Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn other software systems
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Currently enrolled full time at an accredited four-year college or university
  • US citizen, permanent resident or otherwise authorized to work for Michelin on an ongoing, indefinite basis
