Position Overview

The Sr. Analyst, Fraud & Payment Analytics will work with internal and external stakeholders to focus on detecting, analyzing, and preventing fraud in payment and transaction environments, while also supporting strategic initiatives to optimize payment processes. This role works with large datasets, advanced analytics tools, and cross-functional teams to identify suspicious activity, model risk, and implement mitigation strategies globally — operationalizing the Payments and Gift Card Fraud Prevention strategy across fifteen countries. The ideal candidate will utilize data analytics and industry knowledge to facilitate executive alignment and partner with Subway's Fraud Prevention vendor of record.

Responsibilities

• Monitor fraud prevention performance and payment processing analytics using KPIs, trend analysis, and alerts to track program health and identify deviations requiring action.

• Analyze emerging fraud trends and payment processing anomalies to identify improvement opportunities; translate findings into actionable recommendations for risk mitigation.

• Partner with outside vendors — including the Fraud Prevention vendor of record — to maximize program effectiveness, track performance against commitments, and drive continuous improvement.

• Manage PCI compliance measures for Subway and its franchisees, ensuring ongoing adherence to standards across all markets.

• Prepare reports and present findings to senior management, synthesizing complex data into clear, executive-ready insights.

• Enhance fraud risk policies, payment analytics procedures, and guidelines to reflect evolving threats and best practices.

• Conduct investigations into suspected fraud incidents, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to drive resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Finance, Business, Information Systems, or related) and 2–6 years of experience in fraud detection and prevention and/or payment processing analysis for a merchant environment.

• Knowledge and understanding of card network tools and programs — Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, AVS, and related fraud controls.

• Experience working with third-party fraud prevention partners and managing vendor relationships.

• Ability to work with large datasets and translate analytical findings into clear business recommendations.

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.

• Strong ability to take initiative, manage projects independently, and drive work to completion.

• Willingness to learn and adapt; openness to supporting and expanding use of AI tools in fraud detection and payment processing workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Gift Card fraud prevention or loyalty payment environments.

• Familiarity with PCI DSS compliance requirements and audit processes.

• Experience supporting fraud and payments programs across multiple countries or regions.

• Exposure to data visualization or analytics platforms (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
