We’re looking for an experienced SEC Reporting Senior Manager to lead our SEC reporting function for 7-8 months (contractor role). In this critical and high-profile role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the preparation and filing of our SEC reports (10-Q/10-K, 8-K, etc). Reporting to our Assistant Controller, you’ll bring strong technical accounting and GAAP knowledge to support our external disclosures and quarterly earnings processes. This is an unique opportunity to dive into a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your work will have a direct impact on Pinterest and shape how we tell our financial story. 

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the SEC reporting function and oversee the preparation, review and filings of Forms 10-Q, 10-K, earnings 8-K and related disclosures to ensure compliance with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, while supporting other public filings as needed (Proxy, Investor Reports etc) 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across Pinterest (Accounting, Legal, Investor Relations, Finance, etc) to support our quarterly and annual earnings process and SEC disclosures.
  • Partner across accounting and finance organizations to prepare quarterly close and board-level reporting materials, accounting analysis and presentations to support executive leadership.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for our external auditors, coordinating audit deliverables and maintaining the reporting calendar. 
  • Independently research and analyze accounting issues and disclosure requirements in accordance with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, including recent accounting pronouncements and technical accounting projects.
  • Lead initiatives to streamline, automate and enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency. 

What we’re looking for:

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and reporting experience, including SEC reporting for a public company. CPA required.
  • Strong, current understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements and public company disclosure standards.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, including financial statements and disclosures.
  • Experience managing external audits and coordinating with Big Four auditors; prior Big Four experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex accounting topics clearly to executive-level audiences and cross-functional partners
