Staff Accountant

Larry H. Miller Senior Health is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities. The role focuses on month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, budgeting, and process improvement.

What you'll do:

• Perform general ledger accounting for multiple legal entities (skilled nursing and home health/hospice)
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, recurring entries, and account analyses
• Perform bank, balance sheet, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and intercompany reconciliations
• Research discrepancies and coordinate with accounting managers and operational teams to resolve issues accurately and timely
• Perform the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
• Prepare financial statements and variance analysis across locations
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets for assigned entities
• Support LHMSH culture by promoting “Friendly, Positive, and Focused on Excellence.”
• Protect the legal, financial, and moral well-being of Larry H. Miller Senior Health
• All other duties as assigned

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Understanding of general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial statements
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with accounting systems and large data sets
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and problem-solving ability
• Ability to manage competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality
• Ability to carefully consider all information and make impacting decisions on a regular basis
• Job requires accepting criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high-stress situations
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
