Staff Accountant

Christianson CPAs & Consultants is hiring a Staff Accountant to partner with clients and internal teams on financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and advisory support. The role helps clients understand financial performance, improve accounting processes, and make informed business decisions.

What you'll do:

• Assist in the preparation, analysis, and review of financial statements, management reports, budgets, and forecasts
• Help clients maintain timely and accurate financial records including recording of transactions in ledgers, preparing and reviewing trial balances and financial statements
• Identify trends, variances, and areas of concern within client financial information and communicate findings to leaders
• Assist clients with accounting technology solutions, including software implementation, training, troubleshooting, and optimization of QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Sage and related applications
• Support advisory engagements by helping clients strengthen accounting processes, improve financial reporting workflows, establish efficient operating procedures and address business challenges through practical, value-added recommendations
• Collaborate with team members to develop process improvements that increase efficiency and improve client service delivery
• Build and maintain positive client relationships through proactive and responsive communication
• Stay current on accounting standards, industry trends, technology solutions and firm processes

What they're looking for:

• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients and other staff
• Strong in problem-solving, analytical skills, critical thinking skills, and being detail-oriented
• Can work independently but also work effectively with a team
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Knowledge of the following programs: QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, and Sage
• 4- year accounting degree or equivalent work experience
• 1+ years of experience in Agriculture
