Staff Accountant

Primus Aerospace is a leading manufacturing partner to aerospace, defense & space OEMs. They are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and assist with month-end close and financial reporting activities.

What you'll do:

• Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and support financial statement preparation
• Assist with inventory accounting, cycle count reconciliation, and manufacturing cost tracking
• Analyze variances related to production, labor, overhead, and inventory
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed
• Reconcile bank accounts, prepaid expenses, accruals, and fixed assets
• Assist with audits, and compliance reporting
• Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules for management review
• Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes
• Work closely with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate financial data and reporting
• Maintain compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards
• Assist with process improvement initiatives

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or related field)
• Understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and attention to detail
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred, preferably in a manufacturing environment or bookkeeping or internship experience
• Knowledge of inventory, standard costing, or manufacturing accounting is a plus
