Staff Accountant

TopMark Funding is a commercial vehicle and equipment financing company serving businesses in the trucking, construction, and transportation industries. The Staff Accountant will support day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, month-end close, financial statements, and audit preparation.

What you'll do:

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
• Support monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
• Help maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are properly recorded
• Assist with month-end close tasks and preparation of financial statements
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits and internal reviews
• Help monitor account balances and flag variances for review
• Collaborate with the accounting team to resolve discrepancies and improve processes
• Interface with Salesforce.com CRM (training provided)
• Learn and apply QuickBooks Enterprise (desktop) and Microsoft Excel (training provided)

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 0-2 years of relevant accounting experience (internships welcome)
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and the full accounting cycle
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; QuickBooks experience a plus but not required
• Eagerness to learn, strong attention to detail, and reliability
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team setting
