Staff Accountant, Operations (Paid Internship)

Glen-Gery is a brick manufacturer and distributor operating under Brickworks North America. The company is seeking a part-time Staff Accountant, Operations intern to support monthly and weekly accounting, reporting, forecasting, journal entries, reconciliations, and ad hoc financial analysis for the Manufacturing Finance team.

What you'll do:

• Assist with monthly accounting close and financial statement preparation for assigned locations
• Support weekly forecasting processes and profit estimation planning
• Prepare weekly and monthly journal entries to maintain accurate financial records
• Perform monthly reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts with appropriate supporting documentation
• Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports as requested by management
• Support budget and forecast updates as needed
• Provide ad hoc financial and analytical support to management as required

What they're looking for:

• BS/BA Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field in process
• Experience with financial reporting, forecasting, and account reconciliations
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities in a part-time environment
• Relevant accounting or finance experience preferred
• Experience with JD Edwards ERP systems preferred
