Staff Accountant - Tax Services

Batts Morrison Wales & Lee, P.A. is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their growing Tax Team in helping various organizations meet their tax compliance and strategic needs. The role involves direct client communication, tax preparation, research, and collaboration with team members to provide high-quality service.

What you'll do:

• Communicating directly with clients to gather information, answer questions, and provide exceptional service
• Preparing tax-related information, workpapers, and federal and state tax and information returns for nonprofit organizations
• Researching and analyzing technical tax issues affecting exempt organizations and their activities
• Drafting correspondence, memoranda, and other written communications addressing tax matters and compliance requirements
• Assisting with tax planning and consulting projects for nonprofit clients
• Collaborating with other team members to address client needs and deliver high-quality service
• Supporting other tax compliance, research, and client service matters as needed
