What You'll Do
- Performs statistical data analysis requiring sound understanding of statistics.
- Delelops/uses statistical analysis methods to help operating groups improve processes and to help managing groups identify targets for improvem ent or make data-based decisions.
- Interfaces with technical and operations personnel to evaluate operational methods, systems, processes, and new process development activities.
- Provides statistical methods to assess the proformance of operations and to make recommendations on operational changes to improve performance and reduce variability.
- Plans, schedules and conducts statistical analyssis requiring standard or novel, applications of statistical principles and theory.
- Advises managers on the significance of trends and other matters related to making operational decisions.
- Prepares written summaires of technical reports and process reports.
- Makes oral presentations on reults of work.
- Interfaces with technical staff or management from customer sites to review the significance of joint projects and plans.
- May serve as a lead in recommending approaches for sampling, in evaluating the significance of collected data for decision-making, in suggesting considersations for system modeling, and in designing experiments to incorporate new technology.
- Often procides fuidance to less experienced technical support employees

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering/science/mathematics discipline with 2 years relevant experience. Minimum 3.0/4.0 cumulative GPA OR a Master's degree in engineering/physical science discipline with a minimum 3.3/4.0 cumulative GPA OR a PhD in an engineering/physical science discipline with a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA. There is a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) requirement up to 4 years post-graduation at time of offer and confirmed by transcript. Beyond four years from graduation, engineering experience will supersede GPA as a requirement for hire.
- Typical engineering/science experience ranging from 3 to 7 years.
Preferred Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics or a related field plus five years experience
- OR Master's degree in Statistics or a related field plus two years experience
- Preferred experience gained through statistical analyssis of manufacturing methods, systems, and processes.
