Strategic Finance Analyst

MongoDB is a data platform company empowering organizations to modernize workloads and build AI-enabled applications. The Strategic Finance Analyst will support financial analysis and strategic decision-making across forecasting, planning, resource allocation, partnerships, investments, and corporate development while advising executives and cross-functional leaders.

What you'll do:

• Own company key revenue forecast models for new and existing products
• Help drive the annual planning process; prepare monthly and quarterly board and executive reporting
• Support the investor relations function and corporate development initiatives, including any potential M&A
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses and build financial models to inform teams on operating strategies, investment recommendations, and new business opportunities
• Develop cross-functional partnerships with Leadership across the company to review investment opportunities, growth levers, and align on resourcing models
• Lead, collaborate, and contribute to business case development of new strategic initiatives
• Provide strategic advice and direction to facilitate fast decision-making

What they're looking for:

• 1 to 3 years experience in investment banking, management consulting, or an analytical role at a data-driven technology company
• Superior analytical, critical thinking, and quantitative skills
• Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations
• Confidence to forge strong relationships with business partners at all levels of the organization
• Drive for results and a sense of urgency with the capacity to multitask and prioritize
• Highly organized with rigorous attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Candidates must possess substantial experience with financial modeling and proficiency in Excel
• This position requires an adaptable self-starter who is able to work comfortably and communicate clearly with stakeholders across the organization, progress tasks from start to finish, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, challenging environment
• We are looking for candidates who plan to be available in our New York City office for approximately three to four days per week
• Experience with data acquisition tools (e.g., SQL) and large datasets is a plus
