Strategic Sourcing Analyst 1

LG Chem America, Inc. is a leader in manufacturing large lithium-ion polymer batteries for electric vehicles and energy storage applications. The Strategic Sourcing Analyst 1 will engage in sourcing activities, develop strategies, and evaluate supplier performance to enhance operational efficiency.

What you'll do:

• Analyze existing sourcing processes and work to implement efficiencies
• Resolve day-to-day issues and promote operational excellence in consistency
• Lead or support competitive bidding processes including: RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs
• Evaluate supplier proposals using total cost of ownership (TCO) methodologies
• Assist in negotiating pricing, commercial terms, and service agreements
• Interact with all stakeholders internally as well as externally for everyday sourcing operations
• Evaluate procurement metrics by measuring supplier performance and internal performance
• Identify projects scopes, schedules and costs collaborating with procurement buyers
• Evaluate sourcing landscape and work with buyers to strategize and document sourcing strategies
• Project industry trends to implement appropriate responses and contingency measures
• Report on competitive intelligence, as well as market and consumer trends
• Source suppliers from existing supplier base, while also seeking and qualifying potential new suppliers

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in General Business, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Logistics, or relevant experience
• 0 to 2+ plus years of experience in related field
• Experience using Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc..)
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
• Good time management and prioritization skills
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Prompt and regular attendance within our onsite operations
• This role requires up to 0-5% of travel (domestic and/or international)
