Strategic Sourcing Analyst

Power Design, Inc. is hiring a Strategic Sourcing Analyst to support purchasing for engineering, estimating, and operations teams. The role supports material buyouts, sourcing events, purchase orders, supplier negotiations, and procurement reporting and process improvements.

What you'll do:

• Work with the procurement team, project management and suppliers to support material buyouts for various regions
• Develop and maintain strong relationship with operations so bids and purchase orders are executed in a timely manner
• Learn the procurement categories and provide guidance to all employees to adhere to our best practices and utilizing preferred suppliers
• Review quotes for accuracy and work with suppliers to negotiate best pricing
• Receive hands-on training from assigned mentor regarding procurement, category management and supplier negotiations
• Support the bid process by creating e-sourcing events, updating bid templates and generating summary reports
• Recommend best practices and processes for the department in order to improve efficiency
• Compile, spend and bid data in excel and database tools for reporting
• Continually help to improve and innovate on all processes, reporting, data collection or best practices

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree required
• 0-3 years' experience
• Excellent analytical and communication skills with willingness to negotiate with suppliers
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Outlook, and Intermediate to advanced skill level in Excel with data mining ability
• Ability to multitask in a high volume, fast-paced work environment with firm deadlines
• Demonstrate and uphold all of Power Design's core values, which include integrity, accountability, teamwork, innovation and growth
• Preferably in Finance or a Technical field
• Working knowledge within the construction industry a plus
