About this role
Siemens Digital Industries Software is a global software company focused on computer-aided design, 3D modeling, and simulation. The Mendix Development Intern will support the development, testing, documentation, and enhancement of a low-code application used to operationalize social selling workflows, while collaborating with marketing and sales enablement stakeholders.
What you'll do:
- Support the development and enhancement of the app using the Mendix low-code platform
- Assist with building and refining app features, workflows, and user interface components based on team requirements and user feedback
- Participate in QA and testing cycles, identifying and documenting bugs or usability issues
- Collaborate with team members to translate functional requirements into app functionality
- Support documentation efforts related to app features, development decisions, and update logs
- Assist with the rollout of new features or updates, including testing in staging environments prior to deployment
- Contribute to ongoing optimization efforts by reviewing app performance and recommending improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders — including marketing and sales enablement teams — to ensure the app meets user needs
- Develop the ability to operate with increasing independence on clearly defined development tasks over the course of the internship
What they're looking for:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Hands-on experience with the Mendix low-code platform (academic, project-based, or certification experience accepted)
- Familiarity with basic UX/UI principles and an interest in building intuitive user experiences
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in testing and documentation
- Solid written and verbal communication skills — ability to translate technical work for non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Mendix Rapid Developer certification (or in progress)
- Familiarity with Agile or project management tools (Wrike, Planner, or similar)
- Interest in B2B marketing, sales enablement, or marketing technology
Benefits:
- A variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
- Paid sick leave.
- Paid volunteer time off.
