About this role
GuideWell is a mission-driven health care company and health insurer building an in-house Enterprise Strategy team. The Enterprise Strategy Analyst supports time-bound strategy engagements by developing financial models, market analyses, research, and decision-ready deliverables while learning consulting, analytics, and health plan fundamentals.
What you'll do:
- Build the financial models, market analyses, and quantitative research that support an assigned workstream
- Gather and synthesize internal and external data — company data, market and competitor information, and published research — into a clear, well-organized fact base
- Run defined analyses accurately and check your own work, surfacing assumptions, gaps, and anything that looks off
- Produce clear, error-free slides, memos, and data cuts under the direction of an engagement lead
- Turn analysis into simple, well-structured exhibits that make the “so what” easy to see
- Incorporate feedback quickly, and keep files, versions, and source data organized and easy to follow
- Learn and apply the team’s core toolkit: problem structuring, analytics, and storylining
- Build a working understanding of how a health plan works — its products, members, and core economics
- Seek out coaching, act on feedback, and steadily take on more of a workstream as your skills grow
- Manage your own tasks, priorities, and deadlines, and flag progress and blockers early
- Be a reliable, responsive teammate who earns the trust of the engagement team
- Contribute to team culture, and share reusable analysis, templates, and tools that make the whole team better
What they're looking for:
- 0 - 2 yrs of experience
- No prior full-time experience required — this is an entry-level, campus-hire role
- A demonstrated ability to do careful, accurate quantitative work — in coursework, research, an internship, or a project or competition
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the instinct to dig into data and work out what it is telling you
- Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint, and eagerness to build deeper modeling and analytical skills
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication
- Sharp attention to detail and a habit of double-checking your own work
- Genuine curiosity about health care and about how organizations make strategic decisions
- The ability to manage your time, juggle multiple priorities, and ask for help when you need it
- A collaborative, low-ego, reliable approach, and a real appetite for feedback and learning
- Comfort working through ambiguity and picking up new tools and methods quickly
Benefits:
- Medical, dental, vision, life and global travel health insurance
- Short- and long-term disability programs
- Leave programs to support personal circumstances
- Retirement Savings Plan including employer match
- Paid time off, volunteer time off, 10 holidays and 2 well-being days
- Additional voluntary benefits available
- A comprehensive wellness program
- Opportunities for incentive or commission compensation
- Regular annual reviews with pay for performance considerations for base pay increases
